The Good Sam Club began about 38 years ago when a group of RV owners put bumper stickers on their RVs to let other club members know they could get help if they needed it.

Good Sam insurance provides RV owners with many benefits:
- This plan automatically cares for RV accessories and any add-ons you have put on your RV. Some other RV plans may charge you extra for these accessories and add-ons or do not cover them at all in their plans.
- The Good Sam insurance plan begins with low base rates.
- There is up to a 30 percent discount for those who are between the ages of 50 and 74.
- There is a 15 percent discount for safe drivers who have low-mileage on their vehicles.
- There is also a 15 percent lower combined premium if you insure more than one vehicle.
- One policy can be used to cover all your family’s vehicles, including cars, pick-ups, and towing vehicles in addition to RVs.
A Few of the other types of Good Sam insurance offered include:
- No Cost Accident Protection — Members of the Good Sam Club get $2,500 accidental death coverage with not cost. These benefits automatically increase $500 a year for five years to a maximum of $5,000, on the condition that you remain a member of the club.
- Free Term Life Insurance Shopping Service — Good Sam endorses the Term Life Insurance Services provider, Insurance Central. Good Sam provides its members with a search of its database to allow members to shop and compare policies and rates to find which is the right one for them.
- U.S. Travel Health Insurance — The Good Sam Club has the Good Sam Secure VisitorLink which is an emergency travel health insurance for people who are visiting Canada.
