The Texas Real Estate Commission accepts courses in real estate training from several sources, and  Texas real estate schools are not the only place to find classes in the field. College and university credit or approved trade association courses can also work toward regional accreditation associations to obtain your real estate license. The Texas Real Estate Commission can help you find out which  Texas real estate schools are approved.

The Texas Real Estate Commission lists accredited real estate schools in alphabetical order by city on its Web site. The commission also lists colleges and universities offering approved real estate courses.

If you choose to take your classes through a trade association, contact the association to find out the dates and locations of the courses you are interested in. Trade associations offering real estate courses are also listed on the Texas Real Estate Commissions’ Web page.

If you are unable to complete traditional classroom real estate training, correspondence or online courses offer unique alternatives. The Texas Real Estate Commission lists the places offering this type of education and the contact numbers for each.

Regardless of your method of learning, you should study at least one to two hours at home for each hour spent in the classroom to best prepare for your real estate licensure test.

Remember, obtaining a real estate license isn’t easy, but with the help of a  Texas real estate school, you will be well on your way to achieving certification.
