ProForm Treadmills

ProForm Treadmills have been advertised on television as well as the Internet. According to the Journal of American Medical Association, the treadmill is the best indoor exercise machine and the best for aerobic fitness. ProForm Treadmills are the most popular indoor exercise machine among consumers and the popularity grows annually.

ProForm Treadmills revolutionized the treadmill industry with its convenient SpaceSaver fold away models in November of 1997. The newer sleek ProForm Treadmills Space Saver Sight Line Series moved the ProForm Treadmill’s motor to the back of the running deck. When the deck is folded, the motor remained positioned against the wall. This assisted with the ProForm Treadmill facing the center of the room as opposed to the wall where enthusiasts could watch TV or talk to others while working out.

Advances in cushioning and electronics have made ProForm Treadmills a reliable choice for fitness enthusiasts all over the world. The ProForm Treadmill cushion deck is a layer of durable cushioning directly under the tread belt. This helps to reduce stress on knees, hips, and ankles by absorbing the impact.

Working with Sears in 1997, ProForm Treadmills created their ProForm Treadmill EKG, which was priced much less than that of club models. At the time club models prices were ranged at $6000- $7000, while the ProForm Treadmill was a value at $699. Other models at the time included pulse monitoring systems that had to be clipped to an ear or a finger. ProForm Treadmills designed an EKG that placed metal contacts on the hand rails. The ProForm Treadmill’s monitors were more accurate and easier to use. EKG monitors help people stay in their “target zone,” which offers the maximum rate for the effects they wish to achieve.

In 1999, Proform Treadmills incorporated modern technology with its treadmills. ProForm Treadmills began marketing the 985CD, which offered “CD Coach Technology.” CD Coach Technology involves an interactive machine that gives instructions to the user and to ProForm Treadmills at the same time. The instructions come from a compact disk that is inserted into a special console on the ProForm Treadmill. The user then listens through a set of head phones connected to the ProForm Treadmill. Three integrated components are included with the ProForm Treadmills CD Coach. First heart-rate paced music beats allow the user to stay with the rhythm timing their workouts for maximum efficiency. The user is also coached by a trainer from the American Fitness Association of America (AFAA) on the compact disc by using an encouraging voice instructing about pacing and breathing. The voice relays information such as changing speeds and incline levels. ProForm Treadmills CD Coach can be adjusted manually to adapt to a user’s fitness level. The ProForm Treadmills speed and incline levels are automatically adjusted by embedded electronic impulses. This interactive work out lasts for thirty minutes. Each ProForm Treadmills CD contains a different combination of levels that adjust to tasks such as burning fat, interval training, body conditioning and a pyramid program.

ProForm Treadmills also manufacture a complete line of exercise bikes, elliptical machines, and weight benches.
