Ford makes three main types of trucks: Ford Ranger, Ford F-150, and Ford Super Duty. Each of these trucks comes in several different models. They also come in many different colors, some I have never heard of (like Dark Toreador Red and Medium Wedgwood Blue). Because there are different makes and models of trucks, there are also several different prices. It all depends on what you want. Ford Ranger is the smallest and the cheapest of the three; and the Ford Harley-Davidson F-Series Super Duty is the most expensive, costing $40,000 or more.
Ford Ranger: Ford’s compact truck price usually starts at close to $15,000, but can jump up to $26,000 or more depending on what accessories come with the truck.
Accessories: Quick-release tailgate, solar tinted glass, anti-lock braking system, airbags, and 36,000 mile/3 years of 24-hour roadside assistance.
Models: Ford Rangers come in five models: Ranger XL (standard model), Ranger XLT (fog lamps and carpeted flooring), Ranger Edge (CD and MP3 player), Ranger FXR Off-Road (step bars, tow hooks), and Ranger FXR Level II (front bucket seats, vinyl mats). The model prices vary from $15,000 to nearly $27,000.
Ford F-150:
Accessories: Standard models come with anti-theft ignition, spare tire and wheel lock, driver and front passenger airbags, power rack-and-pinion steering, removable tailgate, cargo box tie-down hooks.
Models: The F-150 comes in six models. They are XL (standard model), STX (CD player with AM/FM stereo), XLT (keyless entry and power locks, mirrors, and windows), FX4 (Lariat (leather seats and heated side mirrors), and King Ranch (with heated seats and signal mirrors). The models’ prices vary between $20,000 and over $38,000.
Ford Super Duty:
Accessories: Standard model Super Duty comes with a dome light, auxiliary powerpoint, behind-the-seat storage, removable tailgates, and solar tinted glass.
Models: This is the most expensive of the new Ford trucks, starting at over $23,000 and climbing up to nearly $40,000 before taxes. The Ford Super Duty truck includes three F-250/350 models. These are the Super Duty XL, the Super Duty XLT (power outside mirrors, CD player and four speakers), and the Super Duty Lariat (electronic temperature control, privacy glass). Other Super Duty new Ford trucks that are available are the Super Duty King Ranch Edition (, and the Ford Harley-Davidson F-Series Super Duty (black leather seats, and power rear sliding window).

When it comes to buying a new truck from Ford, you have a lot of options. Because there are so many options, only a few have been listed here. It is a good idea to either 1) look on Ford’s website or 2) go to your dealer and get a brochure. This will show you all of the many options that are available.
