These may include such things as a split kit for testing in two different states or discreet shipping.
Swab test does not deal with brokers who forward your samples to another laboratory and charge you more. This is direct; you deal with Genex Diagnostics. Your test will be run twice, so you can have confidence in the results. You can get your DNA swab test in three to seven business days. The take-home kit is easy to use and quick. You can get the paternity test or the motherless paternity test if you want to test without the mother or she is not available. Just test the child and the alleged father. No blood collection is required.
How are the samples collected?
The DNA swab test is simple to do, and it does not hurt. Special swabs called “buccal swabs” are used. The buccal swabs are rubbed gently inside the cheek to get some DNA. Samples could be collected from a man at any age. It also does not matter how old the child is. Even a newborn baby could receive the painless test. It is also possible to do DNA testing on a child before he or she is even born. That can be done two ways. The first is called “Chorionic Villus Sampling” and the second is “Amniocentesis”.
Chorionic Villus Sampling is typically done around the tenth week of pregnancy. A small amount of tissue is retrieved from the placenta by a doctor (obstetrician). Amniocentesis is usually done at a later stage of pregnancy, such as between the tenth and fifteenth week of pregnancy. An obstetrician withdraws a small amount of amniotic fluid for the test. Prenatal testing costs a bit more than testing the child after birth.
Keep in mind the difference between a legal and a private test. The testing technique is the same. So is the accuracy. The difference is that with the legal test, the alleged father attends an appointment to be identified and to have his fingerprints collected and his photograph taken. Private tests do not require fingerprints or photographs. The DNA swab test done at home privately can be done whenever or wherever a person needs to do it.
